GlassesUSA Nightmare: Wrong PD & Unreachable Support! 😡
Let me share a truly terrible online shopping experience with GlassesUSA, hoping to save you from the same frustration. I ordered glasses for my child, but they just couldn't see properly. Turns out, the pupil distance was completely off. The GlassesUSA site never even prompted me to provide the PD number, and they just assumed a value, which was wrong for my child. Trying to fix this has been a nightmare because you simply can't reach a human for a real conversation; their email interactions are painfully slow, making the whole process drag on. I felt compelled to leave this review and engage with customer service because this level of incompetence and lack of support is unacceptable.
Customer: "Hello? I am calling about order [Order Number]. My child's new glasses are completely unusable because the pupil distance is wrong, and your website didn't even ask for it! What are you going to do about this?" CS Rep: "I apologize for the trouble you're experiencing with your child's glasses. I understand how frustrating it must be when they can't see properly. Let me pull up your order and see what we can do to correct this for you." Customer: "Frustrating is an understatement. I've tried reaching out multiple times, and it feels impossible to get a human on the phone, and your email responses take days! We need these glasses fixed, and quickly. My child is without usable glasses while we wait for your slow process." CS Rep: "I sincerely apologize for the communication difficulties and the delay you've experienced. That's certainly not the experience we want for our customers. To help us correct the PD, could you please provide the correct measurement? Once we have that, we can arrange for new lenses to be made." Customer: "I've already had the doctor confirm the correct PD. How long will it take to get a replacement once I send the old ones back? Because the policy states you won’t start on the replacement until you receive the old ones, and my child won't have any glasses during that wait!" CS Rep: "I understand your concern about the timeline and being without glasses. Once we receive your return and confirm the correct PD, we prioritize remaking the lenses. We aim to process replacements as quickly as possible, and I'll do my best to expedite your case."
